Dancing with my girl and letting the light in

The days are blurry and often meld together into molten amoebas of time. The house is a mess. I sleep in broken patches. My hair is in a perpetual state of ferality, and at any given moment you can find me in various stages of undress. The outside world is going to hell in hand-basket, too. At times, it all feels like too much. But there’s something about holding my baby girl close to my chest that has an instantly calming effect. It soothes both of us. Add in some soulful music and we are slowly finding our centre.

Can’t fix everything, but we can be in the moment together. I’ll take the quiet bursts of light where I can get them.
