Daffodils to this burrito, arguably the best in the world, served at Little Donkey in Fort Langley. It's called 'The Fort', if you ever find yourself out that way. A must try.
Dog shit to grocery store pricing and the corporate thievery that allows these exorbitant costs to continue. When cherry tomatoes are $11 for a small container, I really don't know what to say. But I am grateful my family has the means to make grocery shopping in this economy somewhat workable.
Daffodils to Ms. Rachel. She's based, as the youngsters say.
Dog shit to Israel, always.
Daffodils to the literal garden we are growing in our backyard to help with the costs of living.
Dog shit to all the vegetables I am not committed to eating.
Daffodils to my massage therapist who is saving my back.
Dog shit to my M.D. who basically tells me to suck it up and take pills.
Daffodils to my husband for setting up the pool in the backyard.
Dog shit to this heat and to a body that isn't bikini ready.
Daffodils to my soon to be 7-year-old boy and his sense of humour, gentle spirit, gorgeous innocence, and unrelenting curiosity.
Dog shit to the frantic parenting of end-stage capitalism and its push for us to be anything but present with our kids. I hate missing moments and I get anxiety about that.
